He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, and then worked as a hospitalist at St. Mary\u2019s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia for three years. He returned to New York City to pursue fellowship training in nephrology at New York Medical College before moving to the Washington, DC area.
