Dr. Kolachana received her MBBS degree from Andhra Medical College, India in 1992. She moved to Northern Virginia that same year, and has remained there ever since. She completed her internal medicine residency at Washington Hospital Center and worked as an internist for Kaiser Permanente before returning to Washington Hospital Center for nephrology fellowship in 2000. She joined Washington Nephrology Associates in 2005. Dr. Kolachana is married and has 2 daughters. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and astronomy.
