Dr. Cabacar completed medical school at the University of the East Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. He subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens and completed fellowship training in Nephrology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Newark. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He practices in all areas of nephrology, including transplant nephrology, and he has particular interst in peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis therapies. Dr. Cabacar is married with one daughter, and he enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as cycling.
