Wanda Y. Willis, FNP

Born and raised in Washington, DC. by an educator and a minister retired from the Library of Congress. I developed a deep appreciation for education that coupled with a fascination with science and medicine. Naturally, I chose to pursue a career in healthcare.

I graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor Degree in Science in 1985, a Bachelor of Nursing from Howard University in 1993, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing with concentration in Family Practice in 2004. Over the span of twenty-five years in healthcare I have held positions as a staff nurse in the Correctional Medicine Community, Public health, Long-term care, Occupational health, Medical surgery, and Dialysis (Acute and chronic). For the last six and a half years I have been employed as a Renal Nurse Practitioner. I joined the practice of Washington Nephrology Associates in 1993. My clinical interests are acute and chronic hemodialysis, research and patient education. I have been listed in the Who’s Who in American Nursing, and the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.I have one son in the United States Army. I am an identical twin. I enjoy travel, reading, music, volunteerism, and cultural events.
